The German saltzburgers were soldiers that were escaping religious persecution. These Germans were actually given there own city to stay in because they spoke a completely different language. They also later assisted GA in the Spanish invasions.
The malcontents were a group of very unhappy people. The people were unhappy with the trustees ruling. For only one major reason, because the trustees weren't watching over or caring for the malcontents.

The highland Scotts were also soldier but they weren't in any sort of trouble. The scotts were very fierce warriors and they wanted to fight with Georgia's colony.
The Spanish threat form Florida was constantly vigorous and always happening. The Spanish wanted to invade Georgia and south Carolina to get SC riches.
