On the other side of the table there were the patriots. These were the people that we look up to and call our founding fathers. The patriots were the people who stayed loyal to the colonies and fought for our rights and freedoms. The patriots nicknames were also the Whigs and they weren't for British rule one bit.
Austin dabney was the only negro soldier in the war. He was a hero and was a very loyal soldier. Also he was wounded in a war and later helped by his dear friend and survived. Again Austin dabney was a negro soldier and served well in the war.
Button Gwinnett was a delegate from Georgia who signed the declaration of independence. Button Gwinnett also has a very expensive and famous signature. This was the case because he died in a gun duel. Both contestants were shot but Button gwinnett died days after.

The loyalist were Georgians or (colonists) who wanted to stay loyal to king George for many reasons. One of those being because they were a new colony and they wanted to stay loyal to there leader. Being because they didn't want to have to fight against the organized and powerful British soldiers. Lastly they just didn't want to move or do any extra work to get out of this power.
Elijah Clarke born in 1742 North Carolina was a general of the Continental army. He also was a hero in the battle of kettle creek.
Nancy hart was a very mighty woman. she was well known for her killing of 6 British soldiers under the intolerable acts. Nancy was also a patriot who was very american an fought for her country.

George Walton was the last of the Georgia signers in this aks. He also was a Whig during that time period. George also serve as the chief executive of the state.

Lyman hall was also a Georgia signer of the declaration of independence. He was a young man who studied medicine and was very educated. Later on in life he began grow and develop baptist churches.
The battle at kettle creek was a very bloody war fought in Georgia. Elijah Clarke was known to be the hero of this war. This war also is known as the turning point for Georgia. It turned head and sent a different perspective to the other colonies.
