apitalization
In a wide and vague definition, capitalization in the English language means to capitalize the first letter at the beginning of a sentence. Capitalization can also be used inside of a sentence. For example: we capitalize names, addresses and titles. However, you do not capitalize a cardinal direction unless it is at the beginning of a sentence. You always capitalize every first letter in a title. Lastly you capitalize addresses, for example Maple Avenue.
First letter:
Ryan is a very good student. He is respectful of my directions. Names: You can never go wrong with Nicholas. Address: The party is at 453 Maple Avenue. Title: The book The Giver is a very interesting book. |
