The american revolution had many affects on Georgia including the french and Indian war, the seven years war the stamp and intolerable acts and the declaration of independence. Each of these events has changed Georgia and made it the place we live in today.
First there was the french and Indian war. This war was also called the seven years war because of the years it was fought in. This war was very significant because it sent great Britain into debt and it expanded Georgia's boundaries. A bad affect of this war was that Britain was deeply in debt and they needed to pay it off so they taxed the colonies. with the sugar act, the stamp act and the Townsend acts.
The stamp act was an act that placed taxes on all paper. This could include legal documents, licences, and newspaper. This was also an act to help great Britain gain money and get out of debt from the seven years war.

Next there is the proclamation of 1763 simply stated that the British wanted no one to go beyond the Appalachian mts. to avoid native american conflicts.

The intolerable acts was a series of punishments for the Boston tea party. First was when the British closed down the Boston port and shut down all trade. Another was that the colonist couldn't have a town meeting without he approval of the local governor or the commander of the British troops. Most popular was the quartering acts. These acts were stating that all colonist had to be open to house and feed the British troops at any time. This law was later rebelled on by Georgia Nancy hart. The last law was that a British solider could be accused in the colonies but tried in Britain.

The Declaration of Independence was a document declaring the colonies independence from great Britain. This document also stated the wrong doings of king George and a list of complaints to sell the king over granting the colonies independence.
